A fallen, modern-day Tokyo samurai?

A modern-day hero, felled on the 24-hour battlefield that is Shinjuku’s myriad of little bars.

Great shot. They sure chose the perfect spot to sleep!

Cheers! They really did. Couldn’t have asked for a better set up.

    Armour is temporarily unavailable?

Not temporarily, but permanently. The sign is now all that’s left of the museum that once housed it..

Oh dear. The sign is all that remains of the warrior’s dreams. No more the kick inside from a bit of armour cosplay, so the exhibition of an armour wasn’t even an alternative to a few drinks. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c6UEHhgSHA)

Sadly not, and worse, they’ll have likely felt as though they’d been kicked inside (and out) when they woke up.

Rather than 48 Ronin, you’ve captured 2 Ronin. I wonder if their tales are as fascinating as the famous 48.

It was clearly a big night out, so providing they can remember it, I’m sure they’ll have some stories to tell.

There was a couple sat just there when we walked past it last time we were in Tokyo, (that was when I got lost and had to phone a certain someone to come find us :-)). The girl leaned gently into the guy who was staring into infinity through the passers by.
The song that sprang to mind then, and again with your photograph today, goes

    I am your butterfly
    I need your protection
    Be my samurai

Yolanda’s vocal range isn’t quite that of Kate Bush though 🙂

Ah, that day! Still, you got to see the couple sat there. Definitely worth the detour.

The vocal range may not be there, but the lyrical content couldn’t have fitted any better.
