A very little shop with a large amount of stock

There’s definitely not enough room to swing a cat. In fact there’s barely enough room for the owner and his book. But what the shop lacks in space, it more than makes up for in stock.

There’s nothing in the photo that hints at how he gets in and out of there so I like to imagine he just materializes out of thin air.

Yeah, I agree. Is there a back door or something, or does he just climb over it all??

I can honestly (and happily) say I have no idea, so it’s all down to the imagination!

…and I’m sure that one man knows where everything in his tiny but super-stocked shop is!

Well I’m curious just what his stock is? Tiny electrical parts, transistors? I need to enlarge things. Love this Lee, fascinating shot.

Thanks! Happy the way it came out.

Yes, all kinds of electrical things, such as different connectors, jacks etc I think.

Thanks. One of those scenes that just needed lining up. Everything was all there, very nicely set up.

What a wonderful scene. I just wish all my electronics “stock” was so well organized. Shops/stalls like this are why my wife has doubts about returning to Akihabara – though I’m hoping to sway her with promises of cute gachapon toys, butler cafes and the nearby Hitachino brewing lab – whose agreeable Nest beer we came across in our local supermarket last year.
It occurs to me that perhaps egress to this store is achived by dint of the whole display being a hologram. Though a Walllace and Grommit style harness may be more likely. Or could the owner be one of Hiroshi Ishiguro’s creations?

The brewing lab sounds like it might be enough to make a trip there possible.

I like the idea of a harness. An elaborate and slightly comedic process to start and end each working day.

He probably gets in via the store room?
That image might make a rather good jigsaw.

The store room is probably massive!

Good call. It really would, wouldn’t it?

As if by magic, the shopkeeper appeared.

That put a huge smile on my face. Mr Benn was my favourite kids programme. Never got tired of watching it. I shall always think of it now when I see this photo which gives it a lovely added extra. Thanks!
