This time last year I did a short series on suburban bus stops and their sometimes comically eclectic seats. A set of photos that was deliberately devoid of people as the emptiness seemed to somehow suit the surroundings.
The old Tokyo bus stop below, on the other hand, has always felt like it needed the right person, or indeed the right people, to really do it justice — something that had never quite happened until I fortuitously happened upon these three fellas last week. A trio who for me at least compliment the scene almost perfectly.
I love it! Those 3 guys are so perfect! 🙂
Cheers! Quite the trio, aren’t they? I suspect they have sat in those seats more than a few times.
And I bet those seats have been sat on more than a few times! The background is also great.
Yes, very well used! I know eh? So many lovely little details.
Wonderful photograph. Not quite the Compo, Clegg and Foggy they might have been 🙂
The image is so sharp, and yet captures the cool dampness in the air. The azalia(?) flowers freshly knocked down during a recent rain.
The guy on the left looks like he is wearing a set of entirely new cloths and accessories. Very smart.
I wonder what is so ferroiciously taped to the bottom of Mr California’s stick. Looks weaponised.
Thank you very much. I was so pleased when I saw them there. Even more so when the bus came just after I took the photo. 30 seconds later and it would never have happened.
The fella on the left is definitely the odd one out. Similar, and yet very different.
I know eh? Something that puzzled me too. Thankfully he didn’t look up or I may well have found out the answer.
Such a peaceful and calming image you’ve captured. I don’t know why but I wish I could step in side that picture. For some reason I feel like I can forget my worries along with this scene. Beautiful!
Thank you! Yeah, there’s definitely that element about it. It’s quiet, peaceful and all three of them are completely lost in their own little worlds. I think we all need that every now and again. Or probably a lot more than every now and again!
