Great photograph of a very characterful bar. I like the unadorned bulbs and the gleam of what varnish is left on the bar – which looks rather like my old school chem-lab bench.
The guys eyes makes it look like the clenched fist is as a result of seeing the small (or seated) person to your left.
Are they mushrooms or huge octopus suckers on the grill nearest you?

It was. Really nice little place. Decent food. Nice big bottles of beer too. So no complaints at all!

It was funny. He clocked me taking the photo. Already in fist clenched pose. But he just carried on as though he hadn’t seen me.
Mushrooms. It was decent food in there. Not a massive menu, but what he did have was all good.
