(Don’t) run rabbit, run rabbit, run run run…

Considering that carrying a cat or dog around on one’s shoulders is seen as acceptable, then adopting the same approach with a rabbit is presumably just as appropriate.

And especially so it would seem when it’s the type of pet that, even when the owner is preoccupied with taking pictures, is perfectly happy to not only sit still.

But be patient too.

With the added bonus of this furry little thing being particularly adept at giving foreigners dirty looks for having the effrontery to fire off some furtive photos.

Japanese workers (who you wonder why are) working #26

In Tokyo’s parks and other public places, there are often plenty of pensioners doing all manner of mundane tasks, such as clearing up bits of litter or large amounts of leaves.

But whether they are part of a volunteer group, or simply just turn up on their tod, after a lifetime of work or fending for a family, shouldn’t they have more fun things to do with all that free time?

Foul-mouthed marketing?

Some imaginative marketing or merely a motion to move on?

Canal-side concert

The often wafer thin nature of walls and the nearness of neighbours means that many Tokyoites who want to tackle a tune have to either hire a studio or haul their stuff outside — the latter of which, at least when it’s warm enough, is surprisingly popular.

But whereas drummers would rather to do their thing outside disused buildings, and baseball loving guitarists prefer bridges, those with wind instruments appear to find wooded walks by waterways more welcoming.
