Tokyo snow and shutters

The former is quite rare, whereas the latter is the complete opposite.

Nice colours. I feel like that eye on the shutter is watching me! 😮

Cheers. Yeah, I know what you mean. It was the first thing I noticed.

Bleak in different ways. Some snow scenes are pretty, but this one just looks cold and uncomfortable – even though it appears to be melting.
It’s cold here today, so I’m really feeling the atmosphere.
Looks like the shop next door was a thriving and overflowing fruit and veg shop not so long ago.

We had snow again today, but nowhere as much. Much wetter too. And so needless to say it’s still cold. Unusually so for Tokyo.

Yeah, as you obviously know, I do have a soft spot for bleak images. Hence the inclusion of this one. Nice find with street view though. This was the first time I’d walked passed this area, so assumed that the fruit and veg shop at least was shutdown. But seems it might not be. I’ll have to go back and check it out.

Ah, just note that I selected the 2010 street view. On all more recent the shutters are down, though the salon’s are up.

          Cheers. Hadn’t checked the date…

Be a real shame if it has closed. I really like those shops that spill out onto the street. It’s actually not that far from home, so will find out for sure.

The more I come back to this picture, the more I want to say that the woman in the drawing is a Dick Tracy character.

Yes. Good call. A very distinctive look in every sense.
