Tokyo vending machine merriment

Massive conglomerates clearly favour bright red, but far more pleasantly, so do mirth-filled octogenarians.

Was it you who made her laugh? That doesn’t seem like the reaction you usually get out of people ๐Ÿ™‚

Haha, it was. A real rarity eh? She was funny. More than happy to have her photo taken, despite her supposed reluctance.

What a contrast from the rice cracker store lady! Did you have a funny hat on or something? ;b

Complete opposite eh? A very different experience.

Donโ€™t need a hat. My comedy foreign face is usually enough!

Lovely, if rather red, photograph. Perhaps this engraving was of her when she was a girl.
Her reaction is akin to that those two lovely old ladies in Hikafune had when we came across them on the most excellent photowalk tour you took my wife and I on recently.

      Haha, quite possibly!

Thanks. Very kind of you. Yeah, very similar, except this particular lady thankfully didn’t move out of the frame!

She really was. A lovely old woman. And yeah, an expression like that is always a welcome pick me up.

Cheers! Yeah, feigned reluctance is the perfect description. Always nice when it happens, as the results are generally interesting.

I really love your shots always. And itโ€™s amazing how you get all those people expressions! I am really looking forward to visit your exhibition when you have one here in Tokyo ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks Jordy, that’s really kind of you.

An exhibition would certainly be nice. Maybe I could do one after you’ve led the way by showing your fantastic haikyo photos!
