I’m… confused. But in a good way.

Yes. One of those scenes that it’s best just to simply enjoy rather than try and work out what on earth is going on.

Ha! Perhaps is he’s in disguise and he’s the man the police are looking for! πŸ™‚

Haha, maybe. I certainly got more looks from the police than he did, so if it was a disguise, it worked!

“Now I stand here waiting” – Blue Monday – New Order.
So much blue. Even some Lawson blue and a pair of blue Converse/Vans. A remarkable moment to have captured.
    That’s an incongruously masculine watch.
I wonder if he’s texting his mates… “Great stag do guys, but where are my clothes? The pre-wedding photo-shoot in in an hour, it’s windy, and I’m really feeling the breeze.”
Your photographs suggest so many stories.

      Thanks!

Yeah, blue galore, isn’t it? Not mention a wonderfully odd moment.

It’d be nice to know what exactly he was doing, but there again, just as you’ve proved, not knowing allows for all kinds of fascinating speculation.

What a cutie! If only he had spent more money on his wig he would have easily gotten away with it. He’s of course just waiting for both policemen to come off duty and to change into the set of sera fuku he brought in that suitcase πŸ™‚

Haha, now that would have been a moment to capture!

I started to wonder how many cross dressers who spent a bit more money on a wig or had their hair grow out we actually pass in Tokyo without noticing. Especially the young kids can be really convincing when dressed up; good on them! πŸ™‚

It’s always surprisingly how many poorly turned out cross dressers I do see in Tokyo, but like you say, there are probably a whole lot more who I simply don’t notice. But yeah, either way, respect to them. They know what they like and they are brave enough to go through with it. It must take both confidence and guts. I know I could never do it.

So much to think about in this one…..I need to know if you waited for the blue bus or just got it included by accident? Yes, he needs a much better wig to pull this off.

Not the most convincing, is it? Odd considering the trouble he’s gone to for the rest of his outfit.

Have to admit the bus was pure luck. There were lots of people walking by, so only had chance for one quick shot. And just as that chance arose, the bus appeared.

It almost strikes me as if this is so common and accepted now, that these enthusiasts no longer have to try as hard, or put as much effort into it. Like, it’s just another set of clothing, another style choice; no big deal. Or, it’s the thought that counts, and if you’re not “kampeki”; meh. Whatev’s we get it. LOL

As others have said, the blue theme works out really well in this shot; nice composition and planning ^_^ Being prepared for opportunities is a form of composition planning too. Plan for the chance shot, be prepared for the snap composition – one of my photography instructors told me. I think you’ve got that down.

That’s very true. Merely just another man in a schoolgirl outfit. He barely got a second glance.

Thanks! Always looking around, and therefore general ready should I spot something. After lots of practice and study, the composition is pretty much instinct. Has to be I suppose too, as there’s invariably no time to think. Oddly though, when I do have time, I tend to overthink things…
