With Tokyo retailers beginning to build up to the big push that is Christmas and New Year, famously flashy jeweller Ginza Tanaka has once again easily outdone the opposition; this time by producing a 24 Karat gold Christmas card, which at 30 million yen (133,000 pound) is a little on the pricey side — although it does ‘pop-up’.
Potential purchasers should be aware however that with a weight of 6 kilogrammes,
postal charges could be quite costly.

How do you write on it? It seems a tad vulgar to have to invest in a permanent marker to invest the 24 carat surface with ones’ moniker. I suppose a gold christmas card is a bit ‘new money’ though.
I think I feel a migrane coming on.

Lee, I have one simple word for that golden delight… “LOVELY”!
Bought 700 of them today, and they are adorning every orifice of my apartment and me!

Well I’ll gladly pay the postage if someone wants to offer it to me as a gift.
