A cat kicking back amidst the blossom

The cherry blossom may now be falling, but for this contented-looking cat, it’s not something to be sad about, but instead something to celebrate, as its favourite lounging spot will soon be silent once again.

I think I understand what you mean.

It’s such a lovely spot. There’s a little stream with ducks and koi, and amazingly it’s always peaceful and quiet. Except that is, during cherry blossom season.

What a beautiful cat! very nice ears! It is not common in Japan, japanese cats usually have small ears…
Nice picture by the way, I like the colors!

    Cheers

Thanks! I’m no cat expert. Not even a fan really. But it looked so content there, I had to take a picture.

I second jero, and he/she looks too clean and healthy to be nora-neko. Both our cats have been nora-neko – saved from the “nasty, brutish, and short” life on the streets.

Yeah, my guess is it lives in one of the houses that back onto the stream.

Yeah, he certainly was. Making the most of it before it gets too warm.

Kitty is probably an extremely expensive “American Shorthair”
