Apr 01 2011 35 CommentsA salaryman sunbathing in a suit Sod work. Sod the suit. And sod sunburn. It’s spring!
Very funy, I have a similar picture for you: http://www3.telus.net/a4082993/jp/pages/Osaka%20(6).html
Ah, but he’d obviously been soaking up way more than just the sun!
hey! I told you not to take any pictures of me! (bad choice of socks colour though)
Maybe he wore them to match the sky!
wow, better not be dead in Japan, people won’t really notice, they’d just think you’re sleeping or something 🙂
Yeah, public sleeping is incredibly common.
Hahaha! Nice one! But erm it looks like he’s lying on carpet rather than grass lol.
The picture was taken in the gardens of the Emperor’s Palace, so it’s a lawn of the highest quality!
So they really can sleep anywhere? Even the Emperor’s Gardens? If you did that in NY you’d probably be robbed as you slept… or worse.
Yeah, pretty much seems to be anywhere Lyn. And yes, the Emperor’s Palace gardens are a good a place as any!
And the grass is a little brown as it comes off its winter hibernation. It should green up in spring.
Ha ha! Are you sure he hasn’t just fallen out of a plsne?
Haha, good point! And I dare say he wouldn’t have woken up even if he had.
Not blackout? hahahahaha. nice one.
Yeah a blackout different from the ones we’ve become accustomed too…
This one made me laugh. Thanks for brightening our day!
Glad to hear it Jessica.
Once again, I would LOVE to live in Japan. Even for a year. I would make it my mission to see how many random places in (or on) which I could nap without being unduly disturbed.
From what I’ve seen Lizzy, there are very few places you would be disturbed, so you’d have quite a busy/relaxing job on your hands!
Its a skill the Japanese seem to excel at.
It certainly is. One I quite envy too.
this made my day…it’s exactly how i felt last night. 😉
It’s exactly how I felt at the time too. It was more than a little tempting to join him.
Love it. Had to share with my friends on Facebook. Thanks for the laugh, Lee.
You are more than welcome Lori!
I think he is a school student wearing uniform…
Nah, definitely a salaryman. He was too old for school, and it was a suit he was wearing.
Suits sometimes transform people, it’s good to know that not everyone gets affected, hahahaha.
Quite interesting picture, very funny too!
That’s very true Joel. Something I’ve never really considered before either. But like you say, good to see that this fella refuses to be affected!
the sun is a great source　of vitamin d …
Love it. This also happens in Seattle when the sun comes out.
It should happen everywhere. We’d all be a lot more relaxed, that’s for sure!
i did the same thing today in art class!（except i was laying on the table and facing the air conditioner)
