These are the people and places encountered on an afternoon stroll round the north side of Tokyo last week. Scenes that in many ways worked out like a sort of unplanned amalgamation of my recent posts and outings.
On a different note, my photography work is currently making two posts a week difficult to manage, so for the time being I’ll reduce my updates to every Tuesday. A change that’ll help me balance my freelance commitments and also keep those weekly posts at the level I would like them to be.

Gotta love those retro cabs!

Not far from there is a taxi yard for that company with rows of cars that look to be awaiting repair. Quite a sight. So much better than the advert strewn modern liveries.

@Steve Yeah, couldn’t agree more. Always good to see.
@cdilla Sadly not as many there now compared to when we passed.

Love the photos. Put the same clutter in front of buildings in the U.S. and I feel annoyed. “Why don’t they clean that up?” In your photos it seems natural, comfortable, peaceful..

Thanks a lot. That’s a very good point. Don’t know why it has a charm when really it shouldn’t.

The serious looking guy with the turquoise Romance bike looks a force to be reckoned with.
Is that the sadly run down shopping arcade with the old toy shop and the vending machine selling the retro UCC Milk Coffee?
A lovely set which brings back a lot of memories.

Thanks a lot. And yeah, that’s the spot. A lot of those apartment buildings are now sealed shut, so it would seem time is running out for the area.
That was an interesting walk eh? Talking of which, I have an update coming on the abandoned house we explored as well.
