A suitably retro old Japanese shopping street entrance

The shopping street itself isnโ€™t anything special. Just your regular, run-of-the-mill covered arcade filled with a mixture of chain stores and independent outlets.

This old school, character-filled side entrance, on the hand hand, is anything but ordinary. A lovely slice of the past with an added dash of modern looks.

        with a dash of ‘icing on the cake’ rusty bits that was missing in the last bicycle post. There’s a book/calendar there ;O)

    Last time I was in Japan in 2019 many of those malls had lots of empty stores. It was kinda sad to see

      It depends. Some of them are. Lots of shuttered up places or shops that barely anyone ever visits. This one though was very busy. Big too.
