Older, less shiny Tokyo is fascinating, and fortunately, despite the often dizzying pace of change, wonderfully dated corners of the capital can still be found. In this case, quite literally.

So much detail. So much to hold the eye.
Why do the shop name boards have weathering streaks that look as if they run upwards rather than downwards?
That plant is thriving off the aircon drips despite the bucket in place to catch them – some kind of triffid I think 🙂
The cleanest bit (of the shop) is the cute flop-eared bunny with the inverted mini-kfc bucket hat. I wonder if it gets special attention
So that’s an hour of my Monday morning pleasantly spent – half on your post and half watching a selection of rather nicely shot short Skate Nerds films, (https://vimeo.com/tag:skate+nerds) .
Good to hear it offered up so many questions. Quite a lot to take in, isn’t it? Had to wait a while to get a shot without any cars in it, but glad I persisted.
