    My first thought was that he was wearing his wife’s coat as some sort of forfeit, but the buttons are on the right, so that idea doesn’t fly.
    So, with the combination of playful dog design tie and clown-bright coat we have to assume he’s of a cheerful disposition and you caught him, magnificently as ever, at a bad moment. Or his wife buys all his clothes and his dour expression is the norm as a result.
    Your photographs always spawn so many stories.

      Haha, it doesn’t. The man clearly likes blue.

      Thank you very much. Really good to hear. Yeah, his expression, and the brightness of his coat really don’t match. It was actually the former that I initially noticed as he was emerging from the shadows, but then his coat really came into its own when he hit the light.
