In a city like Tokyo, where space is limited and gardens are a real rarity, people simply have to make the most of what little land they have.

    I think if I was forced to pick one reason why I am totally, irrationally smitten with Tokyo, it would be these gardens of potted plants.

      They are definitely a real plus. This fella has been pretty conservative too. It often amazes me how many plants people manage to fit in incredibly small spaces.

    Very smittable indeed and very rock. Maybe not a dry landscape, but certainly a sober one.

      Yes, a very grey landscape. That said, it does make the few colours in the scene really stand out.

      Yes, I suppose there is a sadness of sorts. Or perhaps more a starkness? Either way, the man certainly seemed quite content tending to his ‘garden’.
