Tokyo’s never-ending train journeys?

Photographs from a small group of islands

Battered, bruised, but in spirit at least, not beaten.

Where they had come from and where they were going was a mystery, although the distances must have been considerable as there was little in the way of buildings apart from those in the background. But the incline, or indeed the cold, didn’t seem to be a concern, as they simply smiled, said hello, and then continued onwards.

If you are going to go for a particular look, it’s probably worth doing properly, and that’s exactly what this immaculately turned out Tokyo rockabilly has done. His pristine-right-down-to-the-purple-lining-of-his-coat appearance making him seem almost alien-like in the cluttered, cobbled together nature of his surroundings.
