Feb 27 2006 5 CommentsCabbage confusion How the humble cabbage ever managed to become a decorative device never ceased to amaze me; a decidedly unusual choice over the more generally accepted flower or plant. Anyway, it turns out that they aren’t cabbages after all. Which is a shame.

Trendware says 2/28/2006 at 5:08 am They’re kale, which is sort of similar to cabbage. Closer to collards, if you know what that is. They’re pretty popular in colder climates, since, like pansies, the colder it gets the stronger the colors are. Reply
