Carefully picked kimono

A fashion item that in this case has a shelf-life even shorter than the most fleeting of fads, although at the same time it will fortunately be forever wearable at least once a year.

I agree, very beautiful. I wish I could pull off that look.

I personally prefer women with cheongsams (or qibaos), kimono seems so formal, but I guess in Japan it’s normal to see girls in kimonos every day, right? No idea.

They are generally reserved for special occasions, so they aren’t that common. And more often than not, they are worn by older ladies.

You’ll see a few beautiful young women in kimonos everyday though, since they are also often worn to weddings.
