Sex and the city cinema

With the Sex and the City movie currently enjoying its Japanese theatrical release, men the length and breadth of the country may well be somewhat loathe to accompany their lady friends to the cinema; a situation that the owner of the rather miserable-looking multiplex below may well be looking to the make the most of.

The theatre’s current batch of releases apparently offering a far more off-colour and fella-based form of the firm favourite, although while the focus will still be very much on friends, there promises to be far less fawning over footwear.

Tokyo’s hostess-like hosts

With their overly-priced drinks and paid for pleasantries, Tokyo’s now hugely popular and very profitable host clubs have learnt a lot from their considerably more established male catering counterparts.

And, despite the publication’s not exactly catchy title of something along the lines of, ‘Legend Of The Original Antarctic Model: From Dutch Wife to Love Doll, a Post-War History of Sex Dolls’, sales have been surprisingly strong, which could have something to do with the captivating, or even captive, content.

Japanese cosplay clubs

Cosplay it would seem isn’t only a pastime for those utterly bereft of embarrassment, as it’s apparently also a viable business for bars, although as far as this Tokyo establishment goes, the moniker Milky could either be a reference to the costumes, or alternatively the customers’, erm, accomplishments.

Pub Nana on the other hand is far more open about what its clients can come to expect, with stiff punishments and the pursuit of extra curricular activities presumably paramount.

However, exactly what kind of high school girls are present isn’t particularly clear, meaning there could well be the predicament of having to choose from a panty parading pensioner,

her slightly more conservative, but considerably more comely companion,

or, heaven forbid, a bearded and burly bloke.
