Japanese peekaboo pants

The traditional loincloth (fundoshi) may — or indeed may not — be the samurai soul of Japan.

However, while its place in the nation’s psyche is somewhat suspect, what’s not is the relative freedom of movement it gives a man in the, erm, member department. Trouble is, for the suited salary man, all that cotton could be a little cumbersome, which is perhaps why these more practical pants have been produced, allowing the wearer to waft their wares about in a slightly more conventional way — a sort of tentative attempt at going commando for those a little timid about their testicles if you will.

Clicking on the image will produce the pants in all their purple glory, although while not showing any naughty bits, they are certainly suggestive, meaning it could well be a bit embarrassing to be caught browsing them by your boss — or indeed anybody else for that matter.

Tokyo trunks

The traditional Japanese loincloth has somewhat surprisingly enjoyed a revival in the last few years, its loose fitting nature and one size fits all no-nonsense approach possibly contributing to the item’s success.

However, whether this particular animal-themed undergarment will enjoy similar sales is debatable to say the least, despite it offering equally ample accommodation.

Although that said, I personally found them a little tight.

Japanese pants pulling

The grace of the geisha or traditional tea ceremony’s gentle movements are famous facets of Japanese culture, but for the tourist after a true insight into this beguiling country, then attending a public performance of the ancient practice of pulling pants off a partner’s head is paramount.

Japanese game

A truly fascinating pastime that somehow manages to capture the spirit of both sumo and the samurai.

Sort of.

Japanese ladies man?

According to current underwear campaigns, lacy Japanese lingerie can be classed as love jewellery,

or even lunch.

However, when it comes to rather hefty and hirsute Japanese men sporting polka dot patterned skimpies, neither seems particularly appropriate.

Japanese lingerie lunch

For fellas who are all fingers and thumbs at the best of times, this lunch-themed bit of lingerie must be the last thing they’d want to see, let alone lay their hands on — the combination of food and a possible fiddle making a fumble all the more likely.

Imaginatively made by Triumph International, Japan’s premier novelty underwear producer, the ‘My Chopsticks Bra’ comes cleverly equipped with a pair of collapsible eating utensils, along with two bulging bowls containing replica rice and miso soup.

Which, while not exactly saucy, do supply the option of a quick slurp or something to have a naughty nibble on should a break be deemed necessary.

Update: There’s now a video available to at least feast your eyes on.
