Homeless habits

Considering how tough life on Tokyo’s streets must be, with a bit of warmth from a weak sun possibly the only pleasure, it’s strangely touching to see the custom of taking off one’s shoes still continued.

    I do feel sorry for them, especially with this economy. But I must say, the homeless in Japan built up the makeshift shelters very well compared to those I’ve seen in the US.

    He looks almost serene. Perhaps he can be proud that his current situation (whatever it may be) hasn’t affected his manners.
