Some photographs don’t really work as parts of sets or stories, so this is a collection of varied scenes and interactions from several recent wanders. Images that while unconnected, hopefully still provide an interesting look at daily life in some of Tokyo’s quiet and peaceful suburbs.

I love #2! 🙂

Thank you. Passed by there loads of times, so it was lovely to finally get a photo of him cooking.

The guy in #3 has a wonderful twinkle in his eyes! Looks like he is still enjoying life.
Thank you for these.

You are welcome as always. And yes, he really does. He’d definitely had several drinks as well, which he’d clearly enjoyed!

14 bikes, 7 types of head gear, 3 walking sticks, 2 canned drinks and one look of amused chagrin from a guy caught giving up on his unruly noren.
Such stories your photographs tell.

Thanks a lot, that’s very kind. Definitely a varied bunch that’s for sure. One of the many pleasures of walking Tokyo’s streets.

Love the guy in the third one. Also the guy in the fifth one looks like he’s wearing house slippers, so I am imagining that he saw how long you’d been waiting for someone dressed in exactly that blue to walk by, and finally couldn’t watch you suffer for one more minute, not even long enough to put on his shoes along with his blue jacket 🙂
Lee says
Haha, that really would have been something!
