A Japanese crow, in flight

On a sombre anniversary in Japan, this photo, somehow, seemed fitting.

Nicely done. Four years already? Wow.

      Thanks.

Yes, four years. Oddly, despite the years generally seeming to slip by at an alarming rate, the earthquake and the ensuing disasters do seem like a long time ago. At least to me anyway. Almost like another time in some respects.

Great photo, very fitting for this sad anniversary. With so much focus on the bumbling in Fukushima, I was surprised how many tsunami victims are still in temporary homes or how many people are still missing…

Cheers. Yeah, the way so many people have been treated, and so many others left in limbo, is nothing short of a disgrace. . .

I recall a video somewhere on you tube of the tsunami, and after it passes all you can hear is the deathly call of those crows.

Yeah, I remember that too. Even in normal situations I’ve always felt there’s something sad, almost lonely about the caw of the crow. But after those horrors it was on a whole other level. . .
