Cheers! Yes, she made me and the other people passing smile. Very nice to see. And yeah, much less gritty than usual. Always nice to have a change now and again!
Probably an omiyage from Nara or Miyajima as it looks like Bambi to me. Apart from the boxy blue car, this photo is really timeless; and optimistic too!
For a stunning project: You should buy such a toy and ask the elderly, like the hunched-over granny you posted a few weeks ago, to cross the street likewise, now that I would like to see!
Even though I appreciate and prefer spontaneous captures a lot, I would have no problem if it were put together as long as the photographer is clear about it. ๐
That’s a photo I similarly would have no problem being slightly posed. However, what I probably would have a problem with is standing in a busy Tokyo street with a bright orange toy animal in the hope that a hunched over old lady will turn up!

Really cute photo!

Isn’t it? Not the type of thing you often see on these pages, but I had to photograph her.

Nearly didn’t say great photo! This happy, little person in the middle of the busy city street is charming.
I appreciate the human aspect of living in these environs that you always capture. This one is somewhat less gritty than usual. ๐

Haha! Thoroughly enjoy a good pun.

This is so sweet but it actually made me a little sad because my dog just died. It’s all in the eye of the beholder I guess.
Lee says
That’s very true. Terribly sorry to hear about your dog. I know how tough that is…

Cheers. Yeah, I like the feel of the photo. An unusually positive vibe.
Now that really would be something. Get a shot like that and my work would be done!

Yes. You might just end up in a photo blog somewhere!
Lee says
Definitely. And it’d definitely be deserved too!
