Lots and lots of Lycoris

I’m not a hundred percent certain, as botany really isn’t my bag, but I do believe the carpet of colour below is created by the Lycoris plant. However, what is certain, is that in such large numbers they look absolutely wonderful.

    it’s one of my favorite flowers as a child.
    If you’re curious, it’s a Lycoris, yes, but it has many names, like “Spiderlily” and “higanbana”. In Japan, it’s associated with the fall equinox and death (and hell).
