Mature menu

Whilst the savoury dishes on offer are said to be decidedly average, the dessert at this particular pub-cum-restaurant is said to be well worth the wait — creamy delights being a well-known speciality.

BJ restaurant

Those opting to go down can also have a lovely time apparently.

This reminds me of when I first moved to Korea for work. I stayed at a hotel that was close to my office as I looked for an apartment. It was called BJ Membership Club. Much like this, I don’t think they understood the alternate meaning for BJ.

Then again, even Americans forget alternate meanings. Why else would they name a vehicle a “Hummer”?

When I was in Egypt, I went to a restaurant in Aswan offering on its menu…Chicken with fresh herpes!!! Of course, I couldn’t bring myself to point out that it should have been fresh herbs.
