Measurement mishap

It’s to be hoped the chap who owns this car is more proficient behind the wheel than he is with a tape measure.

    Hey, this isn’t a mishap at all…it’s quite normal. You can tell it’s planned by the fact that there’s a cloth being used to protect the hood of the car from the “garage” door. Families where I lived in Kyoto would do this all the time…

    But, what’s the point of doing so? Is it to show people you are home? or is it to expell some level of social status?
