Mt Fuji, Skytree and an incoming storm

From just over the river in neighbouring Chiba, it wasn’t a surprise at all to see Tokyo’s truly enormous Skytree. The same, however, could not be said of Mount Fuji. Especially so at this time of year. And at such a distance.

But while they were both something to marvel at, the angry-looking sky was simply alarming.

Nice! I really like black & white shadows.

Cheers. Me too. Simply not the same in colour.

Wow, I can’t believe you could see Mt. Fuji from there! What a fine day that must have been – until the storm that is.

I was equally surprised. There had been a big storm the day before, which presumably led to Fuji-san being visible. But that beautiful, post-storm weather didn’t last quite as long as expected…

I’m mostly impressed with the great quality of the sky in this photo, love the “grain” in the clouds.

Thanks! To try and get as much of the sky in the frame as possible, I ended up climbing up a wall and hanging precariously from a fence on the top of it. Came away with a good few scratches, but also the shot above, so I was happy enough.

Breathtaking! 😀 If a bit ominous.

      Thanks!

It was. Seemed like we were going to get caught in it too, but we managed to find shelter in time.
