Old (Japanese) men and the sea

It may well have only been the Tokyo Bay area, but vast expanses of water definitely make the mind wander.

Sometimes maybe even wandering as far as a little wistfulness.

Every time I see the wonderful old folks you photograph, I think “The things they must have seen in their day.” And then I remember, “Oh, yeah. I’m getting old, too!”

These are two great photographs. I remember the guy on the second photo but I can’t recall the one on the first one. It was a great trip on Sumida river.
They could also be summarized under the theme “the old man and the sea…”

Cheers Nicolas. Yes, it was a good trip, and the man in the second picture had a great face. Just glad I managed to capture at least a little of his character.
