      He does a bit, doesn’t he? The number of pensioners caught shoplifting in Japan has risen enormously of late, so perhaps his backpack is full of pilfered sweets!

      I know. My only guess is they own the place, so no rent or such to pay. Can’t see how else they could survive on the few customers (if any) they have.

      Cheers! Yes, I think it’s the backpack and hat. Not too dissimilar to what an elementary school kid might wear.
