Old Tokyo people and places

These images were all taken during photowalk tours towards the end of last year, the results of which make for a series of everyday shots documenting the elderly residents and dated scenes that are both key ingredients of older Tokyo. Elements that when combined together make each and every wander endlessly fascinating.

Thank you both very much. It was a lovely moment, and one I’ve very glad to have captured.

Thanks, Lee, for sharing a perspective on Tokyo which many never see. Underneath the modern glitz there is a gritty reality in life for many older people.

Best wishes for a healthy and happy year filled with many good photo opportunities!

You are very welcome. It’s the side of the city (and the country as a whole) that I feel is both interesting and more than worthy of documentation, so to share what I see is a pleasure.

Thanks a lot, and you too, I hope 2025 is a good one for you in every way.
