Tranquil time out #68

It’s impossible to say whether the businessman below is on his lunch or between locations, but either way, his leisurely read looks absolutely lovely.

Solitary spring scarecrow

The warmer weather and windy conditions suggest that spring is now securely ensconced in the capital, and, to a somewhat lesser degree, so does the appearance of the year’s first suitably attired scarecrow.

Last season’s sinister look, however, would seem to have been dropped in favour of a much more positive approach.

A man’s best friend is a poodle in a pushchair

The over pampering of pets in Japan is pretty much par for the course these days, but looks it seems can sometimes be deceptive, as this friendly old fella explained that both him and his poodle suffered similar leg problems, making a pushchair good for the dog to lounge in, and him to lean on.

A setup that, at least based on appearances, would appear to be perfect.

A senior citizen singing in the sun

For the senior citizen pictured below, a sheltered area comfortably warmed by a weak spring sun offers the perfect spot for a sit down and a song or two.

And his voice, as frail as his appearance and barely audible over the background noise, is as soothing as the sunshine — maybe even more so.

Listen!
