Colourful contrast

Arriving back in Japan from Britain, the contrasts between the two countries are considerable, such as the torturous heat of Tokyo compared to northern England’s almost negligible nod at it, and the fields being full of rice rather than rapeseed. Plus how, at least as far as the latter is concerned, the crop is cared for. With Japan boasting creations all the way from the colourful,

to the covered.

And even curvaceous.

And last but not least, the odd creation that could well be considered a little cruel.

Happily haughty?

If one is going to be pompous, then apparently there’s no point in doing it on a part-time basis.

Red religious raiment

Despite the possible sadness of such statues, there’s certainly nothing to say it would seem that their apparently requisite red can’t also be suitably stylish.

Random Japanese people #14

Admittedly I haven’t done extensive research on this, but in my mind at least, no people on earth participate in as much public stretching as the Japanese do, with elderly types in particular happy to push and pull their bodies in the nation’s parks and on the pavement.

So with this in mind, it certainly makes sense that when out on a walk and a suitably open and public place presents itself, there’s nothing for it but to enjoy a seemingly soothing, and consummately choreographed,

stretch.
