Random Japanese people #14

Admittedly I haven’t done extensive research on this, but in my mind at least, no people on earth participate in as much public stretching as the Japanese do, with elderly types in particular happy to push and pull their bodies in the nation’s parks and on the pavement.

So with this in mind, it certainly makes sense that when out on a walk and a suitably open and public place presents itself, there’s nothing for it but to enjoy a seemingly soothing, and consummately choreographed,

Japanese exercise

stretch.

I think China has them beat, public stretching? That’s nothing compared to the amount of people that practice T’ai Chi every morning over there, and around the world. When it comes to public exercise, Chinese are number one bar none!
