Hello Kitty collection

With countless Japanese shops crammed with more Hello Kitty crap than anyone could (surely) ever hope to purchase,

Japanese Hello Kitty goods

or indeed pay for,

it arguably makes perfect sense then that among the belts and even bog roll, is a bank.

However, this particular pussy repository apparently has very tight restrictions; with well-timed withdrawals the preferred procedure, and deposits almost definitely deemed out of the question.

Japanese bath time bent?

As bath time in Japan is often an important portion of peoples’ daily life, it’s understandable that this sunset soak should be as comfortable and relaxing as possible, meaning it may well include the likes of music or even manga. Other foibles, however, are arguably far more unfathomable.

Ok, so maybe it’s just because I’m a fella, or that my feet aren’t festoon with fungus, but isn’t a device specifically designed for towelling between one’s toes a tad over the top?

There again, if it sells, then why stop there? A bottom buffer or even a penis powderer may also prove to be improbably popular.

Perhaps.

Tokyo model micturition

With its plentiful supply of commode equipped convenience stores, Tokyo is very welcoming indeed for those blighted by a weak bladder or excessively busy bowels. And, with a recent Japanese fashion show claiming that adult diapers don’t have to be dowdy, most people can now happily go out without having to be overly mindful of a mishap.

However, after a large coffee or a load of lager, the possibility of getting caught short should never be completely ignored; a predicament the young lady below amply proves. As, after inexplicably going about her business in a bikini, her bladder was obviously so bulging that she had to relieve herself right in the middle of a busy road. An acutely embarrassing situation that was luckily eased somewhat by a kind-hearted crowd covering her inconvenience with cameras.

Home-cum-haikyo

Love hotels and especially hospitals make for much better haikyo, but whereas businesses simply go bankrupt, somebody abandoning their abode is far more mysterious — and immeasurably more melancholy.

Like this rather pitiful looking place for example.

Japanese haikyo

As, while it may be way out by the woods, it presumably still cost a pretty penny, and more importantly was a home, possibly even a sweet one, for somebody. But now its views of the mountains are sadly masked by the overgrown garden,

Japanese haikyo

which has also wormed its way inside.

And, after working one’s way through,

the place reveals that its shoji screens,

and a bit of the wall,

are decidedly decrepit. As is the nearby shed.

Japanese haikyo

Which, while laughably still locked,

Japanese haikyo

boasts only a bicycle. The owner having presumably left by a different means of transport.

Japanese haikyo

Whatever that may have been.

Tokyo parasol protection

Although they have been gaining popularity every passing summer, parasols in the Japanese capital have been particularly popular this year; the quest to be as pasty as the person penning this appearing to be all pervasive.

A device that, in conjunction with the alleviating properties of leaves, also means that the bearer can happily survive what seems to be summer’s last hurrah with barely a worry about their whiteness.

Well, barring a wee bit by their back.
