Pink-haired, blue-eyed Japanese host

Or at least I’m guessing he’s a host: the elaborate hairstyle, non-standard suit and him coming from the direction of Kabukicho, Tokyo’s infamous red light district. But, love thief — the moniker given to those in that profession by this must-see documentary — or not, what definitely isn’t up for debate is his wonderfully distinctive appearance.

As they say, only in Tokyo! 🙂 I’m trying to make sense of his facial expression, doesn’t look like a happy dude to me; probably not much future in his business with the economy continuing to falter….

Tough one to decipher, isn’t it? I walked past him and took his photo, and I’m still none the wiser…

I don’t know. Sex workers and hostesses are by far the biggest frequenters of hosts clubs, and those establishment are still plentiful. Although how plentiful compared to a decade to two decades ago is another matter altogether.

That’s a very distinctive hair color. Not sure he’d be my type if I wanted a host!

Elaborate hairstyles are standard in that industry, but at least even there he’ll stand out!

They say love is blind. I can only assume he looks better under artificial light.

Those deep blue eyes are enough to blind (or at least surprise) anyone!
