Pre-cherry blossom practice

With the picture taking pandemonium that is cherry blossom season now just around the corner, the beginning of March rather fortuitously offers the perfect opportunity for some practice on petals of the plum persuasion.

I know. I was sat outside enjoying the sun yesterday. And indoors with the heating on today…

I’d like to fast forward through all this flower gazing and go straight to River/Beach diving and swimming 🙂

I must admit that as pretty as they are, people can go a bit overboard. But at the same time I do enjoy taking photos of those doing the gazing.

My first visit to Japan was during sakura season. My girlfriend (now wife) Ryoko took me to see cherry blossom in an Osaka park which is closed most of the year. I emerged battered and bruised by all the digs in the ribs from Obaa-sans knocking me out the way!
