We’ve all had a laugh over “Hard Off”, so here’s a new one spotted in Saku, Nagano Prefecture. Dog clipping and shampooing service: “Doggie Style”. Brilliant or just lucky? Only in Japan. One place I lived was Kanazawa Bunko (Kanagawa). Turned out this was also the name of one of the hottest porno actresses in Japan, now retired at the ripe old age of 27. Hard to see “Bunko” as a sexy name, about as sexy as Nellie to me. She does or rather did a pretty sexy schoolgirl uniform routine, or so I’m reliably informed. Some wag suggested they had named the train station after her, but as the station’s at least 30 years old … So on the mobile you can always say, “I’m in Kanazawa Bunko …” Forget it: Put it down to wishful thinking.
