Steve McQueen attempting a great Tokyo escape?

Almost 50 years after The Great Escape, it would seem that Steve McQueen is once again poised for a daring motorcycle ride. Only this time, rather than a well-run prison camp, it’ll be from a decidedly fancy — although no doubt equally efficient — shop in central Tokyo.

Cool! Only in Japan would you see a vintage bike shop with a Steve McQueen mannequin.

I’ve certainly never seen one anywhere else.

Certainly not “Anywhere” in a Flower Travellin’ Band way. I wonder if there’s a shop for old Hondas too, with a more lightly dressed mannequin?

Seeing Steve McQueen was quite interesting, but anything even approaching “Anywhere” would be something else altogether!

Fantastic! Any idea where this store is located?

A bit special, isn’t it? I can’t remember the exact location, but I’m pretty sure I took it when walking from Ebisu to Shibuya station. Hardly a pinpoint location I know, but that’s the best I can do I’m afraid.
