Teacher tirade

“Simple logical thinking is beyond them. Their vocabulary is childish, their grasp of mathematics feeble, their curiosity nowhere in evidence.”

Saitama University Professor Tsuneharu Okabe, expressing astonishment and indignation at the immaturity and ignorance of many students.

Other than that, you couldn’t wish for a better a group of people to entrust the future of your country with.

It’s a recurrent thought of the teachers, but they have to trust us, at least a little. We trust in them, so they should do the same, right?

I’m afraid the teacher is probably right. Japan is doomed. The next generation is
    1. Very small in absolute numbers.
    2. Has a high percentage of kids who don’t go to school (futoukou) and shut-ins (hikikomori).
    3. Spoiled kids

Once their parents are gone, it’ll be all downhill for Japan.
Japan’s best days are behind it.
