The future in Tokyo is bright?

The answer to the question above, of course, depends on who you ask. Quite possibly when they are asked too. But on a sunny and mild winters day, this young couple’s response, I guess, would have been a clear and confident, yes.

a happy young Tokyo couple

Cheers. And yes, long may they retain that joy.

It was at that precise moment that Fujiko realized that Akihisa would always look better in her winter coat than she ever would. But she was okay with that. No, really.

Very nicely done. That fits absolutely perfectly. Just like Fujiko’s coat on Akihisa.

      Lol, excellent 🙂
Akihasa kept to himself his suprise at the length of Fujiko’s arms, and also made a mental note to query the earrings “D” at some point on their next date.

Brilliant. Good spot with the earrings too. Hadn’t noticed those.

Seeing Akihisa wearing her coat made Fujiko feel even closer to him, but she’d seen him sneaking looks at her earrings, and she knew that she wouldn’t be able to keep her terrible secret much longer.

Saying he understood, her previous boyfriend had even bought those earrings. Proof, he claimed, that it didn’t bother him at all. But her inexplicable obsession with Celine Dion was ultimately too much for him, and after one too many plays of The Power of Love, he was gone. For good. Would Akihisa be the same? The thought of it made her feel sick, but she could’ve give up Celine Dion. Not even for Akihisa.

Someone needs to commission Seizo Watase to work his graphic style around this story 🙂

You’re right! We should start a campaign!

The pose kinda reminds me of some of the propaganda posters printed during Mao’s so-called Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution.

Ah yes, hadn’t thought of anything like that. But yeah, the optimistic look upwards in particular is very reminiscent of those posters, isn’t it?
