The sight and sound of a talented violinist in a Tokyo park

Presumably it’s because of an inability to practice at home, where neighbours would likely complain about the noise, but whether that is the actual reason or not, it’s still always nice to see musicians playing in public places.

And the fella photographed below was certainly no different. The sight, and indeed the sounds,

Listen!

only adding to the simple pleasure of an afternoon spent in the park.

I played the audio expecting to hear a classical piece of some sort being played only to be pleasantly surprised by a nice bit of bluegrass. Good stuff.

I must agree. The piece sets a jovial mood at the park. =)

It certainly did. There were a few people sat nearby enjoying the music.

I understand completely. If someone was playing bluegrass in my building, I’d have something to say too (recall the stairway scene in “Animal House”). Could be worse (think the leather-clad “rockers” dancing in Yoyogi).
