Tokyo: a grand day out?

“Let’s make an effort and go out for the day”, he said. “The blossoms will be in full bloom”, he said. “We’ll have a lovely time”, he said.

So they did. But they weren’t. And they didn’t.

Teehee, they look like they’re trying to picnic in a carpark or something! Well, at least there’s the sunshine to enjoy… (We had about two consecutive weeks of gray damp days in Hong Kong. It was wonderful to see the sun again this past Saturday and again yesterday!) ;b

      Does a bit, doesn’t it?

Always nice after some bad weather, isn’t it? Been a mixed bag here, but generally been pretty good. Spring can be lovely, so hoping it’s a good one this year.

Thank you! Not sure how true those words are, but they did seem to fit.

    Excellent subtitle 🙂
That looks like the very dry close cut grass we sat on in Shinjuku Gyoen park last year at this time. Despite the paucity of petals the sun looks very pleasant. I wonder what each is thinking.

Cheers. The grass is very similar, but this was in the Imperial Palace, near the Budokan.

He seemed to be fast asleep. The poor woman looked very, very fed up…

LOL Great shot for a meme. ‘Shop them out and drop them into another scene – of course, the more incongruous the better.

Haha, yes, that could produce some very funny results.
