Very cool and great timing. I like the look she is giving you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks! Yeah, me too. Pressed the shutter at just the right time. She smiled straight after, but I much prefer this look.

Really? Thatโ€™s the only option? I would NOT want to have my break there!

I’d like to think not, but I have seen other people there from what is presumably the same kitchen…

This is great. The colors are so perfect and I love the story that she smiled right after.

Thank you. Yeah, very happy the way the colours came out. A smile is something I get quite often to be honest, but I much prefer the look of surprise or confusion that comes before it.

Lovely contrast photograph. The clean whites, the grubby alley. The startled face, the knowledge of a subsequent smile.
Her expression suggests she was thinking “Panic! Private Eye? Health Inspector? Debt Collector? This phone’s owner? Ex-boyfriend? Ah, he must be a Hostess Bar talent scout. Quick, flash him a bright smile ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, he’s going. Back to skewering chicken bits I guess.”

Thanks. Very happy the way it came out, especially as it was taken at the end of a 15km or so walk that had offered up little in the way of photo opportunities. This was just before I went for my train home, so it made the effort in the heat very worthwhile.

Haha, I would love to know what she thought. It could have been any of those, or a whole host of others. More than likely though it was probably along the lines of, โ€œWho on earth is he, and what the bloody hell is he doing creeping down here…?โ€
