Tokyo cherry blossom faces 2018

The weekend saw Tokyo’s cherry trees begin their rapid transformation from pink to green, so before it gets too late, here are a few of this year’s faces, a sense of the fun that was had, and only the merest hint of the capital’s absolutely humongous hanami crowds.

    Is that a special Sakura Patrol or someone who thought it was Anime not Hanami?
    Some of those branches could manage a trim, but perhaps humongous blossoms are called for too.

      Patrol, although what exactly he was on the look out for I don’t know…

      Yeah, the bigger the blossoms, the better it is deemed to be.
