Tokyo fishing fun?

Fishing for many, myself included, appears to involve lots of hanging around with hardly anything to do; however, in a city as crowded and covered in concrete as Tokyo, its positives are possibly more apparent.

As, not only is simply hanging about far better than the usual hustle and bustle,

but it also allows practitioners to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet away from other people,

and at the same time spend some much needed ‘me time’ with mother nature.

This place was tiny, but there’s one (somewhere around Asagaya if I remember correctly) that looks worth a try. Apparently if you catch a set amount of fish, you get some extra ‘service time’, which at least makes it competitive.

Heard about those fishing pools at Kevin Cooney’s vlog. That’s weird, but I think I see what those guys are searching for. Peace is so precious indeed.

Saw one on the train from Shinjuku to tokyo dome city (forget which stop that is, about 7 stops out) it looked fun, but is hardly spending time with mother nature! 🙂
