On man the bicycles on either side really add to this, donโ€™t they? Again excellently framed picture.

Thanks. Yeah, I totally agree. Couldn’t have placed them better if I’d tried. Lovely when things work out that way!

Cheers. The colours really are fantastic, aren’t they? I’ve wanted to take a picture of this for ages, but never had anyone there to complement it. And fortunately I got the staring man and the bicycles. Very happy!

What a beautiful colour palette. The scene glows like a sunny day. I like the way the rust seems to be contagious having spread to the rear mudguard of the right cycle.
I wonder of the inhabitants took on the same hues, like the Grey Scrubbers in Gormenghast take on the grey of the walls their job is to clean.

I know eh? The rust is just making its way to every surface.

It’s a distinct possibility. Not sure if this fella lives there or not, but he was fixing the door just before I shot this. His silvery jacket may not be very silvery soon…

Were you waiting for someone to go by, or were you taking a picture of the place when he walked by? He definitely adds a lot to it!

Yeah, he really does, doesn’t he? I’ve passed by countless times, and always hoped to catch somebody in the frame. This time when I approached, the old fella had his back to me and was doing something with the doors. Making sure they were closing properly I think. So I set the shot up and waited, hoping he would turn round. And unusually, it all worked out exactly as I’d hoped.
