Tokyo samurai-like wandering street musician

People rushing about in suits or meandering round the shops are common sights in Tokyo. Men with samurai-like haircuts strolling the city’s streets and playing guitar, on the other hand, are not. Which, to be honest, is a real shame.

Ha-ha! Nice shot. Did you notice the expression on the woman back there when you took it?

Cheers! Just as I pressed the shutter. Was disappointed to be honest, but when I saw the picture I was actually quite pleased — she gives it something extra.

Thanks. Lots and lots of walking, which now and again pays off!

He didn’t seem to be playing any particular tune, just idly strumming as he wandered along. He made for a very relaxing sight.

Wasn’t aware of that. Just searched for it now. An opportunity missed…

Wonderful photograph. I don’t know where to start – the JD sign, the Troll, the 17 different wall textures! But the prize for me is the person in the background – who has obviously just won a bet or dare – and is so chuffed that despite the loser’s attempt to mitigate the embarrassment by carrying out the penalty in a secluded back alley, managed to run into a ninja photographer and so has the moment preserved forever 🙂

      Cheers!

Haha, there’s a lot going on, isn’t there? Always a treat to turn a corner and find something completely unexpected. And this was definitely one of those moments!
