These two scarecrows were stood silently protecting a couple of rice fields in west Tokyo. One of them, even when suddenly appearing out of the darkness, seemed more serene than scary.
His colleague, on the other hand, was suitably sinister.

You are sooooo much braver than me! 😮
Haha, nah, it was a bit odd, but not very scary. Well, the scarecrows weren’t, but the unexpected spiders were…
Oh man. The mere reference to Japanese spiders is scary. Were they those poisonous golden ones in huge webs or the foot wide hunstman ones.
Anyway, I have an idea for my next halloween costume now. An old teeshirt, mud on my face, a visual punk hairpiece and a tight neck collar with “Mens wig” printed on it. Not sure anyone in the UK would get it though 🙂
I don’t know what kind they were to be honest. Not massive, but big enough to make me feel very uncomfortable. Mercifully I didn’t notice them til I’d nearly finished. Thankfully no bites to report either.
Haha, that would be good. Even better in a way if nobody actually got what you were supposed to be!
